In September 2005, Hallucination Media set up DJRELIEF.ORG... a website with a direct Pay Pal donation link and information on dance music events put together by Hallucination to generate money for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. By the end of our campaign we had collected upwards of $9000 which was donated directly to the Red Cross.MARCH 2011:
As you know Japan has been hit with a continual string of natural disasters. Once again we are setting up a string of events as well as the direct online donation portal in partnership with Red Dot Relief. Red Dot Relief is a call to action across the dance music community in a bid to raise money and spread awareness of the disaster stricken regions of Japan. Spearheaded by Visionquest (Seth Troxler) & Friends alongside Crosstown Rebels and the Tuning Spork Efforts Team we are trying to influence others to follow and donate whatever they can to the disaster fund by involving not only artists but the wider community in this cause including event organizers, promoters, club owners, clubbers, agencies, music labels and the supporting press.Our collection efforts from online donations and on-site event collections will be donated in one lump sum in the name of Red Dot Relief to our mutually chosen relief organization... PEACE BOAT.
